Personality:
Ever since she was a child, Dakota has felt the need to accomplish anything she does. At first it was just to feel good after finishing something but as she got older she saw herself doing things to prove to her father that she was worth loving. She's a workaholic and even after her fathers passing, feels like she has something to prove. The girl who had graduated high school recently, can be caught reading medical books and jotting any notes she finds important, down. She is determined to prove that she can accomplish anything that comes in her way, even if she neglects herself in the process.Illness:
Unfortunately, no matter what she does she can't be proud of herself. She punishes herself by constantly putting herself down, telling herself she doesn't deserve to be loved, that she's a failure. Although she has a pessimistic attitude when it comes to herself, she thinks of herself as a realist. She knows her self worth and thinks of herself very low. Because of this she sometimes acts out and does impulsive, careless things. She tends to lash out and even flirt with someone she finds attractive, something she'd probably never do. Whenever she does things like this, she may come off as a bitch but is usually extremely stressed out.
Despite, working as often as she can or putting herself down, she's fairly polite, if she notices you. If you're a patient, she'll try to guess your illness is to prove her medical intelligence and have a friendly conversation, and if you're a nurse or psychiatrist, she'll talk to you as an equal or might even look to you for advice. Dakota does not necessarily thinks she belongs her but every time she sees her pelvic bones perturbing and her bare ribs exposed, she winces. She is not one to have friends or even touch someone else, though. She's threw herself into a cycle that goes through working, not eating, working, and working. The only thing that makes her think she belongs here is her anorexia. Although it might seem complicated, she views her anorexia as a person, a woman who attempts to control her body. She, however, would not dare tell her psychiatrist about this, in fear of never leaving Aldridge Resort.
Anorexia, depression, borderline personality disorder, self defeating personality disorderFamily:

Damian Middleton- father- deceased
Giselle Middleton- sister
Dakota was born in Nome, Alaska to her Austrian immigrant parents, Damian and Mila. Damian was the product of an American solider father and Austrian waitress while Mila was a mixture of German and Austrian ancestry. The family was anything but rich, yet still managed to raise Dakota in a comfortable environment with all the basic necessities and more. As she grew older she always found herself gravitating around her mother while she seemed apart from her father. It was not only his long work hours as a surgeon that kept them apart. Damian just seemed to always keep his distance from his daughter. While in school, Dakota excelled. She had gained her fathers math and science gene and found that most things came easy to her. It was around her eighth birthday when her younger sister, Giselle was born. Although the whole family seemed excited about adding a new member, no one seemed as overjoyed as Damian. Everyday Dakota was now watching her father caress Giselle, play with her, kiss her, touch her. She had been oblivious to her and her fathers acquiescence like relationship until now, and grew jealous. She tried twice as hard in school, skipping third grade, helping around the house, even showing her father operations she preformed on injured and dead animals in hopes that he would be impressed and proud. Sadly, she only got lectures about using his tools, a pat on the back, and occasionally a smile of approval. He never hugged her like he did to Giselle. He never praised her or rocked her to sleep. Around this time, Dakota began to hate her father.Likes&Dislikes:
As she got older, Dakota noticed how naive she was. It wasn't until she was twelve when she knew what sex was and it surrounded her life. All of her friends, which her one or two years older then her were having sex and before she knew it she was the only virgin they knew. Before then, Dakota had only focused on school, but fell into her friends peer pressure. At thirteen she was still very confused. Was this love? If so, she couldn't see herself loving anyone. Preforming such an animalistic act her friends talked about and described, seemed filthy. She threw herself deeper into school work and continued to look for a way to get her fathers affection. When she started high school she came to the conclusion she didn't deserve love. Not her mothers, or her sisters, who she had loved dearly. Only her fathers. She didn't feel the need to prove herself unless it was for her father. Within a month after her parents fifteenth anniversary, Damian had died in a car crash while coming home from work. Her mother and sister were heart broekn, and soon Mila took a leave from work to stay home with her kids. Dakota was distraught. She wasn't sad he was gone or sad that the rest of her family were devastated. She was sad she couldn't make him love her before he died. She was never good enough for him, nothing she did was good enough, and throughout all her failed attempts to get him to notice her, she had a tiny bit of hope her cared. All her left her was a tiny gold, heart shaped necklace. All her memories rested in that.
In the following months, Dakota lost several pounds and had started smoking. Her grades were still through the room but it wasn't good enough. Her mother had began to notice how hard Dakota was on herself, always saying she could be better, smarter, and skinnier. She had lost her motivation to d anything in school but she tried to make her mother proud. Soon she started to become rebellious. She stayed out later then her mother allowed, started skipping classes, and started dating. It was her first real relationship and she was ecstatic. After dating for a few months Dakota had sex with her boyfriend, Solomon, and felt complete. She hadn't been touched in years, unless it was from her mother or sister and the feeling she felt, emotionally and physicality, while having sex, were ones she never felt. She began a routine of skipping meals, criticizing herself, working nonstop, and having sex with her boyfriend until, after dating for a little over a year, he broke up with her. Dakota was devastated. It had been almost two years since her father had died, but she felt as the break up was his way of screwing her over on last time. She manged to graduate early because of her high grades, and while she was away at college, her weight began to slip out of control. No one knew how empty and how much like a failure she felt until the holidays. During the Christmas holiday Dakota passed out while at her dorm after writing an essay for her Medical major. After being brought home and being evaluated by psychologist, Dakota was dubbed with anorexia, clinical depression, self defeating personality disorder, and borderline personality disorder, which possibly caused her to become rebellious. Her mother, who had worked as a nurse for the past ten years quickly looked into hospitals Dakota could attend until she was better. That was when she found and sent her to Aldridge Resort.

You're looking skinny like a model, with your eyes all painted black

Well, it takes one to know one, kid, I think you've got it bad
But what's so easy in the evening by the morning's such a dragAiden smiled, keeping a random and probably awkward laugh, from coming out. Why was he laughing? Aiden did not even know. There might have been a list of words that described Aiden right now. Intoxicated, Not completely there, and possibly weird. The most accurate word would be stoned. No, not just high or tripping, but stoned. It was to relax after all the stress that he'd gone through in the last month. Aiden, despite his shyness and insecurities, was ambitious and he put all his effort in to becoming a model, actor, and musician. Not just someone who modeled for cheap brands, acted as a walk in, or played kiddie venues. He wanted to be an actually model, actor, and musician. He went to all the acting and modeling auditions he could, used all his connections to book shows and play at very popular venues, and even though he did find some success he was too anxious and stressed to be happy. He forgot about his starvation rituals and for a first time in a few years, actually started forgetting to eat. Something he didn't forget was his purging. Whenever he was overbooked or too stressed he made himself throw up and then got high to forget the pain. Yes, he might have been getting his name more well known but for some reason he couldn't notice.
Now, strung out after smoking the rest of his weed and walking to the beach, he felt a temporary happiness. It would fade away eventually but he could care less. Just as long as his stress went away for a second, it was worth it. He, very ungracefully, sat down on the sand stretched his bone thin arms. They were covered by a black, purple, and dark blue plaid button down shirt, while his thin legs were caressed by tight dark denim jeans, which slightly sagged. His hair a tiny mess but not distracting while his dilated eyes were covered by a pair of sunglasses. As he threw off his pair of black flip flops, he laughed. "Flip flops..." He said, suddenly amused by the name. He smiled as he watched the sun, slightly squinting, and ignoring his growling stomach.
